RIVERS: Again, five soldiers feared killed in fresh attack

 AT least five soldiers were killed when gunmen invaded a lodge where they were camped and opened fire in Omalema community in Abia Local Government Area of the state.

The attack was said to have happened at about 11am today.

It was gathered that the gunmen came from a nearby river where they were initially hiding and went straight to the camp of the soldiers to execute the dastardly act.

Two of the soldiers reportedly died on the spot.

This is coming barely 48hours after eight security operatives were  killed during a simultaneous attacks launched by gunmen suspected to be memebers of the Indigenous People Of Biafra on two checkpoints– Omagwa and the Nigeria Customs Checkpoint at Isiokpo -along the Airport Road, Omahwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
