PLATEAU: 17 feared killed in two LGAs

NO fewer than 17 people including children and women were killed in both Dong village of Jos North and Kwi village of Riyom Local Government of Plateau State between Saturday night and Monday (May 24).

Eight people were killed in Kwi village of Riyom Local Government yesterday morning while 5 members of a family were among those eight murdered there by people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

In Dong of Jos North, on Saturday May 22, one boy was killed and buried on Sunday May 23. But in the morning of yesterday (May 24) eight people were killed there making nine.

Overall total of the dead are 17 in the two Local Governments. But police said it was only seven that were killed.
