BAUCHI: Bala Mohammed fires 21 commissioners, other officials

GOVERNOR Bala Mohammed has dissolved members of the State Executive Council.

The dissolution which was made public today is with immediate effect.

Those affected include the Secretary to the State Government, Sabi’u Baba; the governor’s Chief of Staff, Ladan Salihu, 21 Commissioners, and Special Advisers.

Mohammed is the fourth governor in the last month to dismiss all or some of his cabinet members.

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State had on May 13 sacked 20 commissioners.

Last week, Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State dissolved his cabinet while his Cross River counterpart, Ben Ayade, has so far dismissed five commissioners following his defection to the All Progressives Congress.
