LIVERPOOL went joint-top of the Premier League table on Sunday with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road.

The Reds cruised to the away victory courtesy of goals from Egypt forward Mohamed Salah, Brazil midfielder Fabinho and Senegal forward Sadio Mane.

Salah got Liverpool going with the opening strike in the 20th minute, sidefooting home from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pass in the 20th minute.

The goal was Salah’s 100th in 166 Premier League appearances, making him the 30th player to have scored 100 Premier League goals, with only four players reaching the milestone in fewer appearances than him.

Liverpool doubled their lead five minutes into the second half, Fabinho prodding home from inside the box from a corner after Leeds failed to clear their lines.

Five minutes later, Leeds were reduced to 10 men as Pascal Struijk was sent off for a reckless foul on Harvey Elliot.

Elliott, 18, suffered a serious injury from the foul and he was taken off on a stretcher after receiving lengthy treatment on the pitch.

The midfielder was replaced by Jordan Henderson as Liverpool went on to score a third goal in added time through Mane.

The win took Liverpool to 10 points from four matches, the same as leaders Manchester United and Chelsea, who also have identical goal differences.
