THE Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress has expelled a member of the state House of Assembly over alleged anti-party activities during last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

The lawmaker, identified as Mrs. Favour Tomowewo, was said to be a staunch loyalist of Ajayi Agboola, the deputy governor of Ondo and the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the just concluded governorship election in the ‘Sunshine State.’

Her suspension was contained in a letter dated October 12 , 2020 and signed by the Chairman and the Secretary of Mahin Ward 4, Ilaje Constituency 2, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo state, Olagoke Ajimuda and Mr Omosule Taid, respectively.

Tomowewo, who is the only female lawmaker in the Assembly, was alleged to be among the nine members who vehemently opposed the alleged plot to removeAgboola Ajayi, from office few months ago .

But Ajayi eventually came distant third behind the incumbent governor and the APC’s candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu, who was reelected and Eyitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party.
