GOVERNOR Willie Obiano has declared Thursday and Friday work-free days in the State.
The governor made the declaration during the 2021 Public Service Day Celebration, held at the Jerome Udeorji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
According to Obiano, the holiday is to enable the state workforce to prepare themselves for Saturday’s governorship election.
The governor urged workers to mobilize their neighbours, adding that the election will hold as scheduled.
He thanked the state workforce for the cooperation between them and his administration, stressing that he had fulfilled his promises to them.
While declaring that it is his desire for Professor Soludo to succeed him, Obiano urged them to vote for him.
The Governor explained that his support for Soludo was as a result of his pedigree and confidence in his ability to develop and manage Anambra resources.
