PRESIDENT Buhari is expected to sign the 2022 Appropriation bill before 31st December, 2021.
This follows the transmission of the signed bill by the National Assembly.
Daily Trust quoted a source at the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly to have said that the budget has been transmitted to the President said, “Hopefully, before 31st, the budget will be signed”.
“The budget has been transmitted to the president since Sunday. Since 26, the budget has been transmitted to the president.
“The budget was actually sent on the 24th and by Christmas day, it was already with the President.
“The letter from the National Assembly was dated 24th and by 25th, it was already stamped and received at the Villa, at the office of the Chief of Staff to the President”.
The House of Representatives and the Senate passed the 2022 budget last week before they embarked on their annual recess.
