Knowledge is valuable and Indispensable. It is a great feeling and pleasure, being offered a chance to participate in both academic and performative workshops held by leading publishers and authors.
How did you come to focus on filmmaking and film funding?
I have had an interest in film-making since 2015. Firstly enrolled for a filmmaking workshop into NYFA (New York Film Academy) in 2015. However, I was unable to meet up due to tight schedules and projects I had going on, but later in the same year, I completed a course in Filmmaking at Twim Institute. Since then, I have been enthusiastic about Film-making including taking part and funding various projects.
What are you going to be doing at the University of Oxford?
The University of Oxford has been my favourite institution in terms of its history, culture and academic activities as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world. With its unique and historic foundation, and being offered access to the Bodleian Library (the main research library of the University of Oxford and one of the oldest European Libraries), I will research and develop important works related to African history and heritage.
You do a lot of screenwriting. How does that inform your creative process?
Screenwriting can be hectic, it requires you go through deep thinking and creativity. But more importantly, screenwriting is one of the easiest way to develop, express your thoughts or works artistically. So, it is quite interesting when you are creative enough to write and develop important materials accessible by anyone.
Some of your writing have extended to social life. Can you talk about how it became such an important part of your life?
Writing involves a lot of study, experience, research and processes. when one finds interest in reading/study, it becomes so important and part of their lives, especially anthropological aspects, patterns, understanding, or being shaped by them to become who they are. It brought about a lot of Exposure to me and has become an everyday activity i enjoy to take part in.
