MIKE EKUNNO, the Abuja-based writer and literary activist has been announced as the winner of the inaugural Harambee Literary Prize (2022) international creative writing competition. He won with his entry, “The Pacification Of Umunnakwe” was declared the overall winner of the contest.
Ken Wetherington (USA) is 1st Runner-Up with “The Brothers Evanger,” while the 2nd Runner-Up: is Celestine Ndanu (Kenya) with “City On A Slope.”
“We extend our sincerest congratulations to the top 3 winning entries, and to every writer who participated. The overall winner will receive USD 500, the 1st and 2nd Runners up will receive special digital certificates, while all other participants will receive a certificate of participation within the course of the month of July,” stated the organisers of he Prize award.
