Joe Aribo has passed his medical tests at Southampton and completed his move to the Premier League club.
The Super Eagles midfielder signed the papers today and the transfer from Rangers will soon be made official, according to reports in England.
He underwent his medical yesterday in England ahead of a £10m permanent switch: £6m in direct fees and £4m in add-ons.
Aribo will be Southampton’s second signing in three days following the arrival of Romeo Lavia on Thursday.
The deal will soon be announced to make Aribo officially a Southampton player.
Nigeria international Aribo will be leaving Rangers after three fruitful years during which he helped them to their first Scottish Premiership title in 10 years in 2021.
He also played a key role as they won the Scottish Cup last season and reached the UEFA Europa League final, in which he scored.
Aribo, who joined Rangers from Charlton Athletic on a free transfer in 2019, reportedly turned down offers from Crystal Palace, Fulham and Nottingham Forest, insisting on making the switch to the Saints.
The 25-year-old had a brilliant campaign last season, making 57 appearances and scoring nine times. He also had 10 assists while playing in midfield and as a false nine.
