VETERAN actor, Zack Orji, has been named by the All Progressives Congress into its presidential campaign council.
Orji was been appointed a director of performing arts (PFA).
The Nollywood star, over the past few months, has been notably present in the campaign engagements of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC in the 2023 elections.
The APC presidential campaign council, on Friday, announced the nominees of the party’s leadership who will be participating in or heading campaign activities in various capacities across their respective directorates and cadres.
Orji was appointed a director for the directorate of performing arts and is to work in the south-east zone.
Other actors who were also appointed in various capacities include Benedict Johnson as Imo state spokesperson.
Foluke Daramola was appointed media assistant for Lagos while Jide Kosoko was named the Lagos secretary.
In total, 24 entertainment personalities were appointed to join the campaign council.

The nominees, it is understood, are to pick up their respective appointment letters on September 26 in Abuja.
For Orji, the appointment comes on the back of his well-reported public endorsements of Tinubu ahead of 2023.
The actor had argued that Tinubu ran an all-inclusive government during his tenure as the governor of Lagos.
“My support for Bola Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is both experiential and personal. I have lived in Lagos for over 40 years. I have always known this man as a chief crusader of the democratic consolidation of Nigeria,” Orji had said.
“I have always known him as a man who stands for justice, equity, fair play, and national cohesion.
“In his time as the governor of Lagos state, he ran an all-inclusive government, drawing people from different ethnic extractions into the executive council as decision makers to run the affairs of the state.”
