Arsenal secured a spot in the knockout rounds of the UEFA Europa League tonight after a 1-0 win over PSV at the Emirates Stadium in a rescheduled fixture.

The match was postponed from its original schedule in September over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The win, earned through Granit Xhaka’s second half goal, is Arsenal’s fourth in four Group A games and they are five points ahead of PSV in the standings.

In the Premier League also tonight, there were wins for Fulham and struggling Leicester City.

Fulham defeated 10-man Aston Villa 3-0 at Craven Cottage to pile more pressure on Steven Gerrard.

Harrison Reed and Aleksandar Mitrovic netted for the hosts as Tyrone Mings added an own goal, while Douglas Luiz was sent off for Gerrard’s side.

The victory lifted Fulham to ninth in the table, with Villa in 17th spot, outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.

At the King Power Stadium, Leicester City beat Leeds United 2-0 to move from bottom spot above Nottingham Forest.

A Robin Koch own goal and Harvey Barnes strike secured the win for Leicester City, who brought on Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho in the final five minutes.

In Spain, Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute as Villarreal were beaten 3-0 by Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice and Ansu Fati was also on target as Barcelona moved back to within three points of leaders Real Madrid, while Villarreal are ninth.
