Paul Onuachu kept up his impressive scoring run last night with a sensational performance in a league fixture.
The Super Eagles striker scored all four goals for table-topping Genk in their 4-1 win over Sporting Charleroi in a Belgian Pro League clash.
Onuachu opened scoring in the ninth minute from the penalty spot to send Genk on their way and made it 2-0 with 10 minutes left in the first half.
The towering striker completed his first hat-trick of the season in the 71st minute, and added the icing on the cake in stoppage time.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international is arguably the most in-form striker in Europe at the moment, scoring in six of his last seven Genk appearances.
Onuachu overcame a slow start caused by injury to explode into form from the beginning of October.
Since his first league goal of the season on October 1 against Oostende, he has scored 12 goals in seven matches. No striker in any league across Europe has been as prolific in that time frame.
Onuachu has scored at least twice in four of those games and his four-goal salvo last night helped Genk extend their lead at the top of the Jupiler Pro League to 10 points over second-placed Royal Antwerp, who had led the standings at the start of the campaign.
