CHIEF Dennis Ekpe Ogbu, one of the Commissioners of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has been kidnapped.
According to information obtained, the victim—who is currently the state’s commissioner for housing and urban development—was kidnapped on the state’s Ado-Otukpo route.
Ogbu’s captors reportedly forced his Hilux vehicle to stop at Adankari junction and kidnapped him at around 9 o’clock in the evening while he was en route to his home in Ado local government.
While the police have found the Hilux van, reports reveal that the commissioner’s whereabouts are still unknown.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, onfirmed the occurrence to newsmen over the phone.
“Incident confirmed, we are on our way to the area, I will give you more information when we get there,” Anene said.
