THE Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, won Saturday’s election in Anambra and Abia states.
In Anambra, Obi, a former governor, polled 584,621 votes, defeating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 9,036 votes, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 5,111 votes.
In Abia, Obi received 327,095 votes, while Atiku and Tinubu received 22,676 and 8,914 votes, respectively.
Other states won by Obi include Enugu, Lagos, and Nasarawa.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began the third day of results collation today in Abuja.
