OLALEKAN Jacob Ponle, a well-known accomplice and ally of the well-known Hushpuppi, Ramon Abbas, a Nigerian internet fraudster, pleaded guilt to the fraud charges brought against him in a US court.

Ponle popularly known as Woodberry, consented to hand over the $8 million gained from the fraudulent Business Email Compromise (BEC) scheme.

It was learned that a condition of his plea agreement is the forfeiture to the US government of his expensive possessions, including four Rolex watches, one Patek Philippe watch, three Audemars Piguet watches, three pairs of gold and diamond earrings, and six gold neck chains.

While the high-end vehicles Woodberry would give up include a Lamborghini Urus (N4973), a Mercedes-Benz G-class (G68816), and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan (J9153).

Additionally, he was asked to give up his claim to the expensive cars and designer watches he had hidden in Dubai.

On April 6, Woodberry’s plea declaration was delivered to the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division of the United States District Court. According to the Peoples Gazette, he entered a guilty plea to one of the indictments’ counts.

He is also required to repay the $8 million he fraudulently obtained from the seven businesses he defrauded under the terms of his plea agreement.

“Defendant understands that by pleading guilty, he will subject to forfeiture to the United States all right, title, and interest that he has in any property constituting or derived from proceeds obtained, directly or indirectly, as a result of the offence,” stated the document containing Ponle’s signed plea declaration.

Woodberry like his ally, Hushpuppi, prior to his arrest, was known to flaunt their lavish lifestyle on social media especially the microblogging site, Instagram.
