NIGERIA were the big winners at the 2023 CAF Awards tonight in Marrakech, Morocco, with Victor Osimhen, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie and the Super Falcons winning the big prizes.
Super Eagles and Napoli striker Osimhen was voted the African Player of the Year, the first time a Nigerian will win the award since 1999, while Barcelona striker Oshoala claimed a record-extending sixth African Player of the Year (Women) prize.
Super Falcons were named National Team of the Year (Women), while Paris FC star Nnadozie won the Goalkeeper of the Year (Women) award.
