Zenith Bank launches intelligent chatbot, ZIVA

Zenith Bank Plc has launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered Chatbot on WhatsApp named ZIVA (Zenith Intelligent Virtual Assistant), allowing customers to conduct real-time financial transactions and access 24/7 customer service.

Customers can enrol by adding the bank’s verified WhatsApp mobile number 07040004422 to their phones, agreeing to the legal terms, and then initiating a conversation.

The product enables bank customers to transact and interact 24 hours per day using an encrypted WhatsApp platform.

Customers will open new accounts, receive instant transaction notifications, check their balances on the go, transfer funds, and top up airtime on the WhatsApp platform when this capability anchors on the existing WhatsApp platform.

Among other banking services, they will be able to confirm cheques, pay bills, apply for loans, block their accounts, and request mini statements.

Concerning the new banking solution, Zenith Bank Plc’s GM/CEO Ebenezer Onyeagwu said: “ZIVA was launched in response to the need for additional secured channels of communication with our retail customers as we grow our retail presence.”
