FULHAM are interested in taking Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi to England, according to reports in Portugal.
The newly promoted Premier League side are said to have included the Nigeria international in their list of summer targets.
Fulham are handled by Marco Silva and the Portuguese coach is believed to be keen on raiding his country’s top club Porto for the Super Eagles star.
Portuguese publication Jornal de Notícias claimed today that Fulham and Silva are interested in signing Sanusi, who made 40 appearances in all competitions last season for Porto.
The outlet added that the London club are willing to offer up to €12m for the 24-year-old full-back, whose current Porto contract expires in 2025 and has a €50m release clause.
Jornal de Noticias however claimed that Porto would not accept anything less than €20m for Sanusi, who is their first choice left-back.
The outlet did not clarify if Fulham would raise their offer if Porto reject the €12m as expected.
Sanusi scored three goals in 24 Portuguese top flight appearances this season, including the title-clinching strike against Benfica in May.
He has 10 Super Eagles caps and is in the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe scheduled for Marrakech, Morocco on Monday.
