ACCORDING to reports, a boat accident in Shagari Local Government Area claimed the lives of at least 15 individuals.
Aliyu Dantanin Shagari, the chairman of the Shagari Local Government, who revealed this to newsmen stated that the incident occurred yesterday evening, He also confirmed that 15 people were killed.
The boat that was headed to Mauludi had 25 persons on board when the accident occurred.
Many people have been reported to have qlost their lives in boating accidents in the Shagari region.
Recall that the state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, pledged to supply life jackets to help prevent drowning in the case of such a situation.
