GOVERNOR Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has described President Bola Tinubu’s decision to eliminate fuel subsidies as a difficult one, but has asked Nigerians to support its implementation.

The Governor made the remarks while speaking to State House Correspondents following a three-hour meeting with Tinubu today in Abuja.

He stated that the President is off to a good start and has the people’s complete support.

Governor Makinde, who came at the Presidential Villa at 4.20 p.m., joined by a former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, and a former Governor of Delta, James Ibori, debunked speculations that the President met with the trio to discuss ministerial appointments.

When asked if there are plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike simply responded by saying ‘Don’t say that’.
