Anita Joseph Olagunju, a prominent Nigerian actress, singer, and media personality, is known for her versatile acting skills and captivating performances.
Recently, she added a new dimension to her life and career by embracing a prayer ministry.
In an interview, Anita discussed her new spiritual journey.
When asked about her newfound passion for preaching, Anita reveals that it has always been a part of her. “I’ve always had that side of me, just that I’ve been keeping it under wraps but this is the time. I just finally answered the call of God,” she explains.
She also hinted at future plans for a personal ministry but states, “Wherever God directs me to I will go. I will do personal ministry but not now.”
Reflecting on the reception of her ministerial journey, she expresses gratitude. “The Lord has been faithful. I mean some people know already what I carry. It’s not by my power though. So, it wasn’t hard for a lot of people to adjust to this new me.”
Amidst a busy schedule, Anita prefers a low-key lifestyle. “I don’t go out. You hardly see me out there, even in some major events you don’t see me. I do go for film events. I don’t drink or smoke, so what would I be going out to do? I can stay in my house and watch movies, write songs or stories, you know? Or even meditate.”
Addressing the reduction in public displays of affection with her husband, Anita dismisses the influence of internet trolls. “Internet trolls? Never! We just got busy, trolls have nothing on us. When you are trolling us, that’s when we would be doing more. We just got busier.”
For Anita, the best part of marriage is the companionship and support it provides. “The best part of marriage is, that you can get a massage anytime, any day that you want it. You can get a cuddle from your baby anytime. The best part of marriage is that you have someone to confide in. Someone you talk to and share your fears and worries.”
When asked what she would change about her husband, she responds with unwavering positivity. “Nothing! My husband is sweet. He’s a good man. There’s nothing to change about him.”
