Dear Friends,

On behalf of the J.Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture and History, I am pleased to share our Six-Month Progress Report, covering activities, milestones, and impact from November 2023 to April 2024.

Events

In this short time, the Centre has welcomed over 53,000 visitors, generated more than ₦221 million in revenue, and hosted upwards of 50 events — firmly positioning itself as one of Nigeria’s leading cultural destinations. We’ve focused on activating our museum, launching vibrant public programs, developing sustainable revenue streams, and establishing the Centre as a landmark for Lagos State and beyond.

While we are proud of these achievements, much work remains. We are yet to fully activate our recreational and leisure facilities, but their launch remains a top priority in the months ahead. Our spaces are also now open for long-term rentals, offering new possibilities for creative and institutional partnerships.

Visitors

This report provides a detailed look at our progress and the opportunities that lie ahead. We remain deeply committed to building a world-class institution that honours Yorùbá heritage while driving innovation in culture, tourism, and the creative economy.

Thank you for your continued support. Should you have any questions, ideas, or wish to explore partnership or rental opportunities, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Warm regards,

Warm regards,
