KELECHI Iheanacho and Michael Olise were on the scoresheet on Sunday at Selhurst Park when Crystal Palace came from behind to draw 2-2 with Leicester City in their Premier League contest.

Leicester City raced to a 2-0 lead but hosts Crystal Palace turned things around in the second half to snatch a point off the struggling Foxes.

Iheanacho marked his first Premier League start of the season with his first goal in the competition for this term, giving Leicester City the lead after 31 minutes as the Foxes sought their first league win since late August.

Jamie Vardy doubled Leicester City’s lead six minutes later as they looked to be heading to their second league win of the current campaign.

However, Palace fought back impressively, Nigerian youngster Olise, who came on for Ghana forward Jordan Ayew in the 53rd minute, halving the deficit in the 61st minute.

Ghana midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp completed the comeback in the 72nd minute, just about 60 seconds after coming on as a substitute.

The shared points left Leicester City in 13th place in the table with eight points, one place and one point above Palace.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Tottenham got their first Premier League win in four matches with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Pierre-Emile Hojberg fired the hosts ahead in the 27th minute but Ollie Watkins equalised for Villa, who defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.

Villa’s Mark Targett then found the wrong target with an own goal in the 71st minute to gift Tottenham a much needed win that took them to eighth place with 12 points and ended a run of three straight defeats.
Villa fell to 10th with 10 points.

Also on Sunday, promoted Brentford continued their fairytale run with 2-1 win at West Ham.

Bryan Mbueno scored early while Democratic Republic of Congo forward Yoane Wissa netted in injury time to give Brentford their third win of their debut Premier League season.

In France, Rennes stunned Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 to end the Ligue 1 leaders’ perfect start to the season.

Despite PSG’s star-studded line-up that included Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Gianluigi Donnarumma, it was hosts Rennes that stole the show with goals from Gaetan Laborde and Flavien Tien, who was later replaced by Nigerian youngster Lesley Ugochukwu.

Despite the defeat, PSG are still comfortably on top of the Ligue 1 table with 24 points from nine matches, six points ahead of second-placed Lens, while Rennes are 10th with 12 points.
