CONTROVERSIAL transgender social media personality, Bobrisky, on Tuesday took a swipe at those calling him out for not joining the #EndSARS protest, saying some of them need some good slap on the face.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Bobrisky berated those criticisms, saying: “Some of you need slap!!! After posting end SARS on my page, I should still go out and protest, so if police mistakenly fire gun and d bullet mistakenly kill me… you will help me take care of my 85yrs Grandmother abi, or my brothers who still look up to me.”
He added that if he were to die now, will justice for Bobrisky wake him up from death.
BURNA Boy, however, blamed his silence during the campaign on the health of his mother who recently went through a serious surgery. He has the responsibility of seeing to her quick recovery.
According to him, his mum had a serious surgery and he was making sure she recovers. He didn’t want to put it out there on social media because it was decided that all the attention should be on the protests.
“In life before you reach conclusions it’s always good to check, as you don’t know what people are going through. Play whatever song you like at these protests but let’s just keep fighting together”.
GENEVIEVE Nnaji, the screen diva, reacting to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s ban on any EndSARS protest by residents of the state, called him a dictator.
In a release from the Governor’s Office on Monday night, Governor Wike declared that there was no need for the further protests as SARS has been disbanded. He threatened that anyone caught protesting will face the law.
The Inspector General of Police on Sunday announced the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and on Monday, President Buhari confirmed the action and explained that further actions will be taken to ensure that perpetrators of the acts are brought to justice.
Given the actions taken so far and the pronouncements made from the highest quarters, Wike said further protests were uncalled for, except if there were other motives behind the protests outside the EndSARS issue. Such actions, he warned, would not be tolerated in his state.
Apparently disagrreing with the Wike’s position, Genevieve assumes the governor’s position smacks of dictatorship.
She said the governor chose to be a dictator instead of being any other kind of leader; even though she did not give justification for the continued protests after the request had been granted.
”Your mustache says it all. You could have chosen to be any kind of leader you wanted. You chose to be a dictator. Do you have children? That’s a shame. Leaders will be held accountable for every loss of innocent life in their state,” tweeted the producer of Lionheart, which has had a good international exposure through its Netflix deal.
